Zac Shuford

Zac Shuford...

Zac comes to us as a Sophmore majoring in Biology Education. He hopes to graduate in the spring of 2009. Some would describe him as a hairy, hairy wild man. Zac has high aspirations of becoming a little kid when he grows up. He has a close connection with South Mountain State Park and loves to fish and climb rocks while he's there. His favorite OA trip so far has been "anything on the Appalachain Trail". His hobbies include playing the guitar, fishing and pretty much anything outdoors. Who does he love? You.

His words of wisdom are: "People are exactly the opposite of what they want you to think they are."

Grace Jones

Anna Ploghoft...

Anna comes to UNCG as a Freshman from Chapel Hill, NC. She intends on majoring in Biology. She describes herself as an outdoors lover, with the ocean as her main interest. She wants to be an underwater photographer and "hopefully increase awareness of a world we know so little about". As an avid kayaker, her favorite place to be is doing just that in the Hell Hole of the Ocoee River. She says it's an awesome play spot that she could stay in for hours. Her hobbies include obviously kayaking, rock climbing, and hiking. She also loves to watch a "tremendous lightning show".

Josh Pozner

Josh (a.k.a. Adrenaline Junkie, a.k.a. Jack-of-All Trades, a.k.a. The Big Teddy Bear) came out of the mountains of Asheville, NC to study Recreation and Park Management in hopes of becoming an outdoor educator. His favorite outdoor adventure activities are whitewater kayaking and rafting, caving and snowboarding. On his free time he mountain bikes, attends muusic festivals, swims in the backcountry, and plays the didjeridoo. If you see him on June 21, wish him a happy birthday!
Josh's words of wisdo0m: "The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step." "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will finally know peace."

Rachel Iverson

Rachel comes from Raleigh, NC to study Therapeutic Recreation. She hopes to help people with disabilities build independent life skills through outdoor activities. Her favorite outdoor adventures activity is whitewater kayaking. In her free time you'll find Rachel reading, hiking, paddling and practicing her photography. If you see Rachel on December 5, wish her a happy birthday!
Rachel's words of wisdom: "Be the change you hope to see on the world."

Michael "Rabbit" Stone

Mike comes to Outdoor Adventures from Cary, NC to study leisure services (a.k.a. recess). He's not sure what he wants to do when he grows up but he's open to suggestions. If you have any, you can finf him on onw of his two favorite outdoor adventure trips, rock climbing or backpacking. Mike's hobbies include mountain biking, trampolines, cars, baseball, television, showers, shopping, eating, drinking, long walks on the beach, sunsets, hammocks, love seats, snuggling, campfires, chick flicks, flowers, rocks, thunderstorms, bowling, tennis, Coke™, and boulders.
Mike's words of wisdom: "I hate mornings. I'd like them better if they started later." -Garfield
