Personal Training
Eligibility
- Clients must be currently enrolled students or faculty, staff,
alumni, and/or spouse of Student Recreation Center members
- Clients will be required to complete the following documents
prior to exercise:
- "Exercise-Readiness Screening Questionnaire"
- "Informed Consent for Participation in a Personal Fitness
Training Program"
- "Personal Training Contract"
- "Lifestyle Evaluation"
- The Department of Campus Recreation reserves the right to deny
services to participants who may not be able to exercise safely
within the program parameters.
Packages
- All personal training fees must be paid at the 4th floor
receptionist desk in the UNCG Student Recreation Center.

Trainers may not accept any direct or additional payment
for their services.

Refunds
Personal training sessions are non-transferable and
non-refundable. Medical conditions, which prohibit the safe conduct
of training sessions, that cause a delay in purchased sessions beyond
90 days plus grace period (of the date of purchase), will be refunded
if a physician's note is provided.
Conduct of Training Sessions
- All sessions will be conducted at the UNCG Student Recreation
Center
- Training sessions will be a maximum of 60 minutes in length.
All training sessions will be recorded at the Main Desk on the
3rd floor of the UNCG Student Recreation Center.
- Each client will have a personal training card that contains
the number of sessions purchased and the client's trainer. After
each training session, both the client and the trainer will
initial and date the card.
- Cancellations must be made a minimum of 24 hours prior to the
scheduled training session or patron will be charged.
- Cancellations may be made by calling the Student Recreation
Center at 334-5924 between 8am and 6pm Monday through Friday,
or by calling the personal trainer or using email. Every effort
will be made to reschedule a training session according to the
mutual availability of the client and trainer.
- Personal training sessions are conducted on a one-to-one basis.
- Personal training will be conducted by current Department of
Campus Recreation Personal Training staff only. Other personal
trainers are not allowed to conduct training services within
the Department of Campus Recreation facilities or on its grounds.
- Training sessions expire 90 days after date of purchase, unless
otherwise approved for extension by the Assistant Director,
Fitness.
